OUR POLICIES
At El Rincon de Maria, we aim to provide you with the best shopping experience possible. Please read our comprehensive policies below to ensure a smooth transaction.
ORDERS
Order Processing Times:
- We strive to process and ship orders within 1-2 business days.
- During peak seasons (e.g., Semi-Annual Sales, Holidays), processing may take 3-4 business days.
- Once an order is placed, it cannot be canceled. No exceptions.
Order Cut-Off Time:
- Orders placed after 12:00 PM EST will be processed the next business day.
- Orders placed during business hours will ship the following business day. No exceptions.
Order Cancellation & Store Credit:
- Orders cannot be canceled once placed. However, if you wish to cancel an order that hasn’t shipped yet, we can offer a store credit instead of a refund.
GIFT CARDS
We offer electronic and physical gift cards. Electronic cards are sent to the provided email, and physical cards are mailed to a specified address.
Usage: Gift cards may only be used toward purchases made on our website. They cannot be exchanged for cash and will not be replaced if lost or stolen.
Expiration: Store credit and gift cards are valid for 6 months from the date of issuance.
Lost Gift Cards: If you lose your gift card, please email us at info@shopelrincondemaria.com for assistance.
PREORDERS
Items that are on preorder follow different processing times. For example, our best-selling custom name blankets take 3-4 weeks to produce. If there is an issue with production or a variation in timings, we will keep you posted.
DISCOUNT CODES
Application & Use: Discount codes must be applied at checkout and cannot be applied retroactively. Only one discount code can be used per transaction unless explicitly stated otherwise. Discounts are not stackable, only the highest discount will be applied at checkout.
Restrictions & Limitations: Discount codes cannot be exchanged for cash or store credit and may not apply to gift cards, preorders, or other excluded items. Codes may also have minimum purchase requirements or geographic restrictions.
Non-Transferrable: Discount codes are non-transferable and valid only for the intended recipient.
Right to Amend or Cancel: We reserve the right to revoke, amend, or cancel any discount code or promotion at any time without notice.
SHIPPING
Estimated Delivery Windows: You will see an estimated delivery date at checkout based on your selected shipping method. Ensure all order details are correct before confirming; we cannot modify orders once confirmed. For inquiries, contact us with your order number at info@shopelrincondemaria.com.
Shipping Confirmation & Tracking: Once dispatched, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a tracking number to track your order.
Shipping Holidays: We ship Monday- Friday during regular business hours. We do not ship on weekends or observed holidays.
Our 2025 observed holidays’ schedule includes:

- April 15th-18th – Holy Week

Expedited Shipping: If urgent delivery is needed, contact us at info@shopelrincondemaria.com or by phone before placing your order. Expedited shipping applies to all orders, including Next Day and Two Day Expedited orders. If no special request is made, standard processing times apply.
Shipping for Preorder Items: If you buy a preorder item and other regular-priced items, you will need to pay for shipping if you want us to ship it separately. If free shipping is selected, we will not ship the order until all items are here unless you request and pay for the shipping.
SHIPPING COSTS:
Domestic USA & PR: Shipping rates and delivery times are calculated at checkout based on your location. We offer free shipping on orders over $150 via Ground Advantage (tracking included). Note: This option does not include insurance.
International Orders: International shipping rates are calculated at checkout. Customers are responsible for all applicable duties, tariffs, and customs fees. If you refuse to pay customs fees, the package may be abandoned, and we cannot return it or offer store credit.
SHIPPING CLAIMS & LIABILITIES
We cease to have liability once a package is dispatched. For issues, please contact the carrier directly. It is very rare for orders to get lost or stolen, but it does happen! We always strongly suggest choosing an insured shipping option for your order, even though it may be more expensive. Our store isn’t liable in these cases, and you will need to open a claim with the carrier.
Damaged Packages: If your package or item is damaged, contact us within 24-48 hours of receipt. We will work to resolve the issue. In most cases, we may offer the option to repurchase items at a discounted rate.
Returned Packages Due to Insufficient Address: If your order is returned to our office because of an insufficient or incorrect address, you will be responsible for the shipping costs when the order is re-shipped. Standard return windows apply to these packages and will start counting from the day the package was originally shipped.
LOCAL DELIVERY:
We offer local delivery via Uber Package with the following conditions:
- Orders placed with this option will ship the next business day.
- Provide your phone number at checkout for coordination.
- You must meet the driver at your driveway or provide lobby instructions. Once handed to the Uber driver,
El Rincon de Maria is not responsible for lost or stolen items. If delivery fails, you will be charged both the delivery fees and an additional fee for re-delivery.
Delivery Fees:
- Up to 3 miles: $10
- Up to 5 miles: $15
- Up to 7 miles: $20
PICKUP:
Available upon request. Contact us to arrange this option. Orders approved for pickup are subject to the standard 15-day exchange period, starting from the first business day after it is ready for pickup.
REFUNDS & RETURNS
If for any reason you wish to return your purchase, we will offer a full refund (minus shipping costs). The refund will be made as a store credit. Refunds to the original form of payment will only be provided if there are inventory issues with your order that prevent us from fulfilling it. No other exceptions will be made.
RETURN CONDITIONS
You can return eligible item(s) for store credit within 15 days from the delivery date. Items must be received within 15 days; late returns will not be accepted. Items must be unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and with original tags attached.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
FINAL SALE & OUTLET: Products marked as “sale”, products part of a specific sale or promotion (e.g., Black Friday, CYBERMONDAY, 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS), products within our outlet sections or with a markdown of 20% or more, personalized items, socks, jewelry, special orders, holiday items, preorders, and gift cards may not be returned or exchanged.
RETURN PROCESS: You can request and manage returns from your customer account. Please repackage the items securely for return. If reusing the original packaging, remove any labels unrelated to your return. Once we receive your return, you will receive an email notification. Please allow up to 5 business days for store credit to be issued.
GIFT RETURNS: To arrange a gift return, please email us at info@shopelrincondemaria.com for assistance. Gifts bought on sale cannot be exchanged. If it has been more than 15 days since the gift was fulfilled to the original buyer, exchanges will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Regular return rules apply.
STORE CREDITS & RETURN COSTS ON ORDERS THAT QUALIFIED FOR FREE SHIPPING
If your order qualified for free shipping and you return items that contributed to the free shipping threshold, we will deduct the original shipping & return shipping cost from your store credit if the threshold is not met.
PREPAID LABELS
We offer a prepaid return label for U.S. customers. If you choose to use this label, the shipping cost will be deducted from your store credit. If you prefer to use your own shipping method, shipping costs will not be deducted from your store credit.
International clients must coordinate shipping returns themselves, as prepaid return labels are only available for U.S. customers.
OVERUSING THE RIGHT TO RETURN
We reserve the right to refuse returns if we believe a customer is abusing the return/exchange policy. Returns that do not meet our policy will not be accepted and will be returned to the customer at their expense. For unclaimed items or if the customer refuses to pay the shipping cost, we will donate the items to charity after 2 months.
